Passive Income and Microstock Earnings for October

By Cory • Nov 1st, 2009 • Category: Business of Illustration

Another record month for me. Hopefully, I can keep breaking records every month. I have to admit that I felt a little lost this month after I hit my $2000 goal. I was waiting for someone to show up and give me directions to my new $3000 goal. I’m sure as I get closer, I’ll get more focused. For now, I’m just breaking my main goal down into smaller monthly goals.

  1. Only one word… WHOA!

My october month was somehow good… but very good at iStockphoto and i finally managed to get paid at Stockxpert.
Shutterstock is still my best seller by far.

  2. Thanks. Good to hear things are going well for you. Getting those payouts is always nice.

  3. I would like to upload a few of my illustrations….can u suggest how it possible and what are the requirements…..if you want i send you few samples of my work…

  4. Hmm… tough question. The requirements are a little different at each site, but most of them have pretty helpful people in their forums if you can’t find the requirements page on the site.

    As a general rule:
If you are submitting vectors, most sites want Illustrator eps ver 8 files with an additional jpeg thumbnail. If you are submitting raster files, then they should be high res jpegs.

Let me know if you have a specific question, and I can probably give you a better answer.
